Tucson sludge deviants GODHUNTER have been destroying Arcane Digital Studios (Exhumed, Misery Index) with Ryan Butler (Landmine Marathon, Unruh), the sessions being used to construct the band's official full-length LP, City Of Dust. A concept album about life and death in a decaying desert shithole of a hometown, little else has been released on the album other than it shall prove to be another bulldozing supply of booze and bong-friendly hardcore-infused sludge pulverization.
Following its digipak/digital release in January via At A Loss Recordings, this week the label releases the info for the pending LP and cassette versions of the self-titled debut full-length from Columbia, South Carolina's BURNT BOOKS. Both new formats are set to hit on September 24th, the first pressing of the wax will be made available in a run of 322 on clear gold wax with orange and black marble and 105 copies on black, and the cassette manufactured in bright yellow, so both heighten the bold cover art by Sam Ford (Black Cobra, Wizard Rifle, etc.). Dutch heavy metal band LORD VOLTURE have finished the recordings for their yet untitled, third full-length studio album. The album was recorded at Final Focus Studio Tilburg and Split Second Sound Studio Amsterdam and engineerd by Yuma van Eekelen (Exivious, ex-Pestilence) and Bart Hennephof (Textures). All tracks are now going to Swamp Studio Raamsdonk to be mixed by Stephen van Haestregt (ex-Within Temptation, ex-My Favorite Scar). A release is expected for early 2014.

Hamburg/Hildesheim – Über Musik mal sinnvoll fachsimpeln: in den vergangenen Tagen nahm OHRENFEINDT-Sänger Chris Laut Bei einem Workshop-Musikprojekt des DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) in Hildesheim als Dozent teil und brachte dabei benachteiligten Kindern und Jugendlichen die Musik ein Stück näher.
