After a number of sold-out appearances and plenty of fan and critical support, two time JUNO-award nominees CANCER BATS will once again be taking their alter ego BAT SABBATH on the road. As a special treat this time around, the band will perform two full sets every night, one as CANCER BATS and one as BAT SABBATH. Coined the Double Header Bat Madness Tour, the journey includes five dates in the US and thirteen dates across Canada.
The Briefcase, the freshly opened pleasure pack from fully unchained and possibly somewhat insane prog/metal/punk dueling whackos BANGLADEAFY, is out this week via Nefarious Industries. Generally instrumental, all chaotic, BANGLADEAFY’s output is powered mostly by fingerbanging bass riffery and earthmoving drumwork, and their most recent proof of this perplexing prowess pumps into the public this week with The Briefcase, an engaging six-song EP that lays out the band’s most proficient display of face-melting jam-blast mayhem yet.
As Texas brutalizers MAMMOTH GRINDER prepare for the release of their third LP, Underworlds, today another new track from the pending album blazes the masses via Lambgoat. The second of the album’s raging ten anthems, the stampede that “Wraparound Eyes” opens with follows the band’s hybridization of d-beat crust and old-school European death metal in an upbeat fashion, with a straight-up mosh-stomp and blazing mini-solo appearing midway through the track.

Am 16. und 17. August 2013 wird in Hasselroth-Gondsroth zum 16. mal das Benefiz Open Air Festival "ROCK IN SCHROTH" zugunsten des Malteser Hilfsdienstes stattfinden. Auch in diesem Jahr werden sich wieder die besten Undergroundbands von Rock bis Deathmetal die Bretter die die Welt bedeuten teilen.
FREITAG: Als Headliner konnte man für den Freitag abend die Band 20.000ft verpflichten. Diese Band widmet sich voll und ganz den Songs der Band Saxon. Von "Crusader" über "Ride like the Wind" bis hin zu "Heavy Metal Thunder" werde sie die Klassiker dieser Band zum Besten geben. Hier kann gefeiert und mitgesungen werden!
