Following the release of ‘Thai Angel’ and their recent appearances at both Furnace Fest and Sick New World Festival, ‘Redline’ sees the THE DARK.FM push their sound into an even more aggressive territory, combining crushing low-end riffs, dense electronic production and Osborne’s rapid-fire vocal delivery.
Speaking of the new single, vocalist Craig Johns Jr. shares, “I first heard Kent Osborne’s music a few years ago when we were set to play a show together, and became a fan on the spot. He’s doing some seriously cool shit. As I was building out the instrumental for “Redline,” it was becoming pretty clear there wouldn’t be any singing on it, and I was set on the idea of having him jump on it with me. The man’s a powerhouse, he has all these different voices and can come up with whole verses in seconds, it was a blast to record. The song started with this giant Drop-E riff which became the intro and chorus, and then I wanted the verses to sound like the song was exploding so I put a distortion right on the mix bus, set up to saturate when the verse kick hits so it breaks up while he’s rapping. It comes together as this hyper-aggressive track, densely layered, electronic and riffy, but still leaves a lot of space for Kent’s vocals. Before he left the session I had him record a “sample pack” of spoken word lyrics from the song so I could scratch them up across the track, and that, to me, felt like the final touch it needed. Not to discount that ending, of course..”
THE DARK.FM occupy a space that has been begging to be occupied within heavy music.
A bridge between sounds, communities and cultures that has been ready and waiting for someone to build it.
What started as a collaboration between vocalist Craig Johns Jr. and guitarist Alan Ashby that transcended music quickly became about appreciating not just moments in time, but how worlds are built. From flicking through old PlayStation magazines to grasp the visuals that defined the beginning of the Millennium to scouring Rick Owens collections and pondering which daring pieces best represented their intent, the pair quickly found that the strands connecting their passions for music, fashion, and film were deeply intertwined. Throw in childhoods spent being obsessed with The Matrix as much as Slipknot, Korn and Limp Bizkit, as well as a shared appreciation for the universe created within Cyberpunk 2077, and the foundations for something truly exploratory were in place.
The first pieces of those exploratory pursuits resulted in 2025’s The Dark EP, a frenzied blend of rampant beats, guttural breakdowns and uncanny croons, its tracks racking up over 3 million streams, as well as festival appearances at Vans Warped Tour, Sick New World and Furnace Fest.

Blending punchy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and a massive singalong chorus, 'Tequila Sunrise' showcases Blood Command at their most playful and melodic without sacrificing the raw energy that has become their trademark.
Bursting with hooks and unapologetic confidence, the track transforms romantic frustration into a tequila-fuelled celebration of longing, obsession, and the questionable decisions that come with a broken heart.
Lyrically, 'Tequila Sunrise' dives headfirst into the chaos of wanting someone who remains hopelessly out of reach. With tongue-in-cheek pop culture references, outrageous imagery, and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humour, the band captures the bittersweet absurdity of unrequited desire. Rather than wallowing in heartbreak, Blood Command turn their frustrations into an explosive, feel-good death pop anthem, where tequila, salt, and lime become the ultimate remedy for emotional wounds.
Musically, the single strikes a perfect balance between raw intensity and irresistible pop sensibility. Soaring vocal melodies, razor-sharp guitars, and an energetic rhythm section propel the song forward, while its instantly memorable chorus practically demands to be shouted back from the crowd. It's a track built for sweaty club shows, festival singalongs, and late nights that turn into early mornings.
Hailing from Bergen, Norway, Blood Command have spent years establishing themselves as one of the most distinctive and fearless acts in modern alternative music. Known for their explosive fusion of hardcore aggression, alternative rock, and pop-influenced melodies, the band have developed a sound they proudly describe as death pop, refusing to be confined by conventional genre boundaries. Across acclaimed releases including Cult Drugs (2017), Praise Armageddonism (2022), and World Domination (2023), Blood Command have earned international recognition for their uncompromising creativity, infectious songwriting, and electrifying live performances.
With 'Tequila Sunrise,' Blood Command once again prove that heavy music can be fierce, funny, emotionally charged, and ridiculously catchy all at once. Equal parts heartbreak anthem and party soundtrack, the single is another bold reminder of the band's ability to turn chaos into something impossible to resist.
