Vitamin X are back with their seventh album Ride The Apocalypse, the band’s most intense and ambitious album to date — released by Svart Records in March 2026. The final single Devolution/Devilution from the upcoming album is out now.
Devolution/Devilution is about a world moving in the wrong direction; not evolving, but devolving. The wordplay says it all, Devolution means regression, going backwards. Devilution twists that into something darker; progress turning corrupt, destructive, almost demonic. Their version of development becomes self-made hell. We’re led by the “deaf, dumb and blind” narcissistic leaders warped by power, greed and ideology, who call themselves “superior,” yet that “superiority” has built a system hell-bent on self-destruction.
The video mirrors this idea. Filmed and edited by Martijn Bastiaans in a rehearsal space, we gradually turn into skeletons, a literal take on “backwards evolution.” Strip away the illusion of progress, and in the end, only bones remain. Watch the video for Devolution/Devilution HERE

Vitamin X have released albums on iconic labels such as Southern Lord, Havoc, and Tankcrimes, and worked with legends like Steve Albini, John Baizley (Baroness) and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.). Their video About to Crack reached millions of views. The band has played over a thousand shows worldwide and appeared at festivals such as Hellfest, Maryland Deathfest, EXIT, and Obscene Extreme.
