CRYSTAL LAKE veröffentlichen neue Single „Neversleep“ aus ihrem kommenden Album „The Weight of Sound“.
Es dauert nicht mehr lange, bis die japanische Metalcore-Band Crystal Lake ihr siebtes Album „The Weight of Sound“ veröffentlicht.
Das Album soll am 23. Januar 2026 über Century Media Records erscheinen. Die Band hat nun mit „Neversleep“ eine weitere Single aus dem kommenden Album vorgestellt.
Der Track, bei dem Myke Terry von Volumes und Fire From The Gods am Gesang zu hören ist, ist einer der düstereren Songs des Albums und unterstreicht die Bandbreite der Band, die Metalcore mit Deathcore-Elementen kombiniert. Myke Terrys Gesang trägt zusammen mit John die Schwere des Songs und schafft so eine perfekte Fusion.
„Neversleep“ folgt auf die zuvor veröffentlichten Singles „The Weight of Sound“, „Crossing Nails“ und „BlüdGod“.
Gitarrist und Gründer YD sagt über die Single: “This track is the one where I poured in the Hardcore/Metal/Punk elements that I’ve carried as my own background to the limit. It’s simple, but with an extra twist, and at times hybrid arrangements, updating it into the kind of extreme sound that represents the current Crystal Lake. Every part of the song is made for you to dance, so don’t think too much — just feel it and enjoy. Stay heavy.”

Between the Buried and Me veröffentlichen eine Live-Version von „God Terror“, aufgenommen während ihrer Nordamerika-Tour in Denver. Der Track aus dem im September 2025 erschienenen Album The Blue Nowhere fungiert als Auftakt zur anstehenden Europatournee 2026. Tommy Rogers kommentiert: “Once we started bringing new songs to the stage, we immediately felt a darker, more intense shift in the set when “God Terror” hit. Big Big Train veröffentlichen „Counting Stars“; letzte Single aus dem neuen Album „Woodcut“
Big Big Train, die preisgekrönte Progressive-Rock-Band, veröffentlicht am 6. Februar 2026 ihr 16. Studioalbum über InsideOutMusic.
Woodcut markiert einen Meilenstein in der Karriere der Band, deren Mitglieder aus England, Schottland, Italien, den USA, Schweden und Norwegen stammen: Es ist ihr erstes vollständiges Konzeptalbum. Die Band, 1990 in Bournemouth gegründet, präsentiert auf Woodcut eine fortlaufende Erzählung über Kreativität, Opferbereitschaft und die feine Grenze zwischen Inspiration und Wahnsinn – mit einer zentralen Figur namens „The Artist“.
Heute veröffentlichen sie „Counting Stars“, die dritte und letzte Single aus dem Album. Der Titel wurde von Leadsänger und „Woodcut“-Produzent Alberto Bravin und Bassist Gregory Spawton gemeinsam geschrieben.
Gregory Spawton kommentiert: “’Counting Stars’ finds The Artist in a reflective mood as he seeks to find solace in the natural world. He remembers a scene from his childhood when he stood on top of a hill at dusk and watched the stars sparkling into life. This experience gave him a sense of wonder at how vast and magnificent everything is. As night falls, he heads out into the countryside to count the stars once more.”
Spawton fährt fort:: “We’re hugely proud of ‘Counting Stars’. Alberto’s vocal performance is spellbinding, while our guitarist Rikard Sjöblom delivers an outstanding guitar solo. The song also features a brief lead vocal cameo, which may surprise listeners as well!”
