Caput Medusae open the new year with their haunting new single “Schwarzschild”, releasing on January 2, 2026. The track marks the first chapter of their upcoming mini album of the same name, set for release on February 19, 2026, and comes with a striking music video that will premiere on January 2 at 17:00 CET.
Combining Darkwave, Electropop, and New Wave aesthetics, Caput Medusae craft a cinematic sound anchored in pulsating basslines, sharp synth textures, and vocals that shift between brooding introspection and cathartic release. Lyrically, Schwarzschild takes its cue from the physical concept of the Schwarzschild radius—the point of no return in a black hole—and translates it into the dynamics of human relationships: how close can two people get before everything collapses inward?
The single sets the tone for the forthcoming mini album Schwarzschild, which further explores liminal states—between attraction and decay, light and shadow, reason and emotional pull.
Caput Medusae position themselves at the intersection of classic darkwave aesthetics and contemporary electronic pop.
