Neue Single "Let’s Go" von THE GASÖLINES
Buckle up and burn some rubber: Norwegian rockers The Gasölines have just released their brand-new single:
It’s a cover version of the classic “Let’s Go” by Swedish legend Eddie Meduza.
Bassist Morten Gasöline explains:
“As part of recording our third studio album, we also had a blast playing around with some cover songs, which will be released both before and after the album drops this fall. With ‘Let’s Go’, we’ve fine-tuned the carburetor and ignition, giving the song the power and energy it deserves. In a world where moralists are constantly telling you what not to do, it feels liberating to roll down the windows and hit the open road.”
The third studio album will be released later this fall on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digitally.
“It’s wide-legged rock’n’roll, as always. Even more drive, energy, and sweat than before. Pure middle-finger rock – a clear counterpoint to all the overpolished and autotuned stuff we’re constantly bombarded with across every channel.”
The first single from the album drops in September.
The Gasölines are:
Sindre Støle – vocals
Morten Nilsen – bass
Thomas Hansen – guitars
(Thomas “Bolverk” Hansen stepped in on guitars for the recording sessions)
Andreas Pettersen – drums
Do you love:
1950s rock’n’roll and rockabilly?
1960s garage rock and early punk?
1970s rock, punk, and heavy metal?
1980s speed, thrash, and metal?
The 1990s rediscovery of it all?
Of course you do.
The Gasölines are a celebration of all of it – pumped straight into the 2020s.
This is music from a time when rock and roll was all about rhythm, blues, fun, and rebellion. A time when music gave the younger generation their own identity and voice – in contrast to the conservative and boring lives of their parents.
Today, we’re constantly surrounded by voices telling us what not to do, what not to eat, not to drink, not to drive, how not to look. One of the few things the moralists will applaud you for doing is riding a bike. And sure – that’s cool enough, if you’re lucky enough to own a vintage DBS Apache or DBS Tomahawk.
Break the rules. Explore new ideas. Break free from routines. Accept opinions that aren’t your own. Ask questions. Have fun. Pedal to the metal. Long live rock and roll.
