International collective O.R.k return with news of their new album Firehose Of Falsehoods. The album, their first since 2022’s lauded Screamnasium, will be released on Kscope on 21st March and will be available on Coke-Bottle Green vinyl LP, classic black vinyl LP, CD and digitally. The announcement follows a recent flurry of activity which saw O.R.k release the singles ‘Blast Of Silence’, ‘PUTFP’ and, most recently, ‘Mask Becomes The Face’.
Today, O.R.k have shared their new single ‘The Other Side’. Speaking on the track, bassist and songwriter Colin Edwin said “It demonstrates the harder hitting, more muscular side of O.R.k. and explores the balance between control and surrender in life's toughest moments. The dynamic shift and build of the song captures the intensity of facing challenges head-on when no clear options are available and nothing and no one is there to point the way.”
He continues “The Other Side’s lyrical content deals with the need to let go of over-thinking and to listen to those inner, instinctive impulses to navigate life's uncertainties. The Other Side also features a guest spot from guitarist Giuseppe Negri who adds an extra metallic edge to the punchy riffage.”
FIREHOSE OF FALSEHOODS WILL BE RELEASED ON COKE-BOTTLE GREEN VINYL LP, CLASSIC BLACK VINYL LP, CD AND DIGITALLY. THE CD AND DIGITAL EDITIONS FEATURE THE BONUS TRACK ‘DIVE IN’.

Firehose of Falsehoods continues the journey that O.R.k started with 2015’s debut Inflamed Rides and carried forward through their previous albums Soul Of An Octopus (2017), Ramagehead (2019) and Screamnasium (2022). Often exploring themes of tension, redemption, and the human condition, their latest release is an ambitious exploration of the inexpressible. Vocalist Esposito Fornasari states “We live in a world where it’s increasingly difficult to know the truth, so naming the album Firehose of Falsehoods was meant to intentionally reference something completely opposite to the sincerity we try to express in our music and lyrics.”
The cover image designed by acclaimed Marvel/DC comics illustrator Denis Rodier also expresses an ambiguity. Are the tentacles representative of some evil and unseen creature enveloping us in propaganda? …or is the creature a hidden but heroic being, reaching out to crush the loudspeakers and free us from false narratives?
Highlights include the hauntingly cinematic16000 Days and the visceral, riff-driven passages of The Other Side. Featuring a guest appearance from former Porcupine Tree touring guitarist John Wesley, Firehose of Falsehoods demonstrates the band’s evolving creative dynamics and their place in the landscape of modern progressive music.
O.R.k have a highly anticipated run of shows coming up in 2025 including a run of headline UK shows which will see the band joined by cult favourites The Paradox Twin.
