Benthos - zweite Single & Video “Pure”
Das italienische Metal-Quintett Benthos startet das Jahr mit einem Highlight: Mit „Pure“ veröffentlichen sie die zweite Single ihres kommenden Albums.
Das noch unbenannte Album, das im Frühjahr erscheinen soll, wird das zweite vollständige Studioalbum der Band sein. „Pure“ zeigt eine neue Seite der Band, ohne jedoch ihre charakteristische Identität zu verlieren. Die Single schafft eine fesselnde Dynamik, indem sie klare Töne, melodische Gitarren und sanfte Vocals, die sich in einen kraftvollen Schrei steigern, miteinander verbindet, dabei bleibt der Song dem leichteren Prog-Sound treu. Lyrisch geht es um das Loslassen von Materialismus und das Streben nach reiner Existenz.

Benthos announced their signing with label InsideOutMusic back in November 2024 and their first output, “Fossil”, was met with great praise and interest within the modern progressive music scene. While both singles show different strengths for the band, combined they paint a very unique sound image for the band and make one even more curious what else their upcoming album has in store.
Benthos is an experimental progressive metal band from Milan, Italy. Formed in 2018, the quintet gained recognition in the Italian metal scene by opening for The Contortionist in 2019 in their home country. Their debut album, “II”, released in 2021, is defined by its technical edge, complex rhythms, and heavy, dynamic guitar work balanced with serene, melodic interludes. Benthos’ live performances, described as hypnotic and chaotic, have taken them across Italy and Europe, including a notable appearance at Milan's Dissonance Festival in 2023. While working on their sophomore record, Benthos signed with label InsideOutMusic, which marks a significant milestone for the Italian band.
