Hard Rock Band DOGMA veröffentlicht eine neue Interpretation von Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”.
Nach ihrem großen Erfolg in Lateinamerika ist DOGMA bereit, die Musikwelt mit ihrer provokanten Coverversion von Madonnas „Like a Prayer“ weiter zu erobern.
Der Song ist ab heute auf allen großen Streaming-Plattformen verfügbar. "Like A Prayer" ist nicht nur eine Coverversion, sondern eine trotzige Neuinterpretation. Bekannt für ihre Verschmelzung von Heavy Metal und Sexualität, verleiht DOGMA dieser ikonischen Hymne ihre charakteristische Finsternis und macht sie zu etwas ganz Eigenem.
DOGMAs „Just Like a Prayer“ lädt die Zuhörer ein, in eine Welt einzutauchen, in der das Göttliche und das Weltliche aufeinanderprallen. Bei DOGMA ist nichts so, wie es scheint, und ihre Version von „Like a Prayer“ verspricht, diese Grenzen weiter zu verschieben.

Begleitend zum Song veröffentlicht DOGMA ein visuell beeindruckendes Musikvideo, das mit konventionellen religiösen Bildern bricht. Lilith, die furchtlose Frontfrau der Band, lässt sich auf eine sinnliche Interaktion mit einer Figur ein, die dem Jesus Christus ähnelt, der in Madonnas Original-Musikvideo zu „Like a Prayer“ dargestellt wird. Ganz im Stil von DOGMA werden die Kreuze nicht nur in Brand gesetzt, sondern auch umgedreht und lodernd dargestellt, ein starkes Symbol für die Herausforderung von Traditionen und die Überwindung von alten Glaubenssätzen. Das ist mehr als nur Schockeffekt. Diese Bilder sind eine direkte Kampfansage an Kontrollsysteme und Doppelmoral.

Die beliebten Metalcore-Künstler aus Colorado, MOUTH FOR WAR, veröffentlichen heute ihre neue Single „The Earth's Cold Embrace“ mit einem dazugehörigen Video. Der Track, der von Beginn an bedrohlich und mitreißend zugleich ist, gehört zu den bisher härtesten Werken der Band.

“The track is based on a dream I had on tour that really messed with my head for a few days. It was essentially a storyline where I killed someone in a private setting, then proceeded to be stalked by a crowd of people that knew what I had done until ultimately being forced to shoot myself. I tried to embody the mood of the dream in the instrumental of this track before even implementing lyrical content. We were lucky enough that our friend Dave hooked us up with this underground nuclear missile complex to shoot the video, which was incredibly fitting to the eerie vibe of the song. Hopefully you all love the new track as much as we do.”

Die britische Progressive-Metal-Band Rolo Tomassi veröffentlicht heute ihr neues Live-Album Live at Electric Ballroom. Das 15-Track-Projekt wurde bei einem Headliner-Konzert am 15. Februar 2023 im Londoner Electric Ballroom aufgenommen. Das dynamische Set zeigt Rolo Tomassi von ihrer faszinierendsten Seite und enthält Fanfavoriten aus ihrem Repertoire.
Sänger/Keyboarder James Spence sagt: „Getting to headline the iconic Electric Ballroom was an absolute dream come true for our band. We felt we had to document the evening and to share those results. This project has been a real labour of love, and it provides a perfect snapshot of our most ambitious production to date, along with a setlist full of our favourite songs to play live. Having our producer Lewis Johns, who understands the nuances of our sound more than most, come on board to mix it was perfect in terms of getting across what we're trying to achieve with our live show. Our drummer Al worked tirelessly to edit the concert footage which, we hope you agree, looks awesome. Enjoy!"
Die Band hat bereits zwei Singles aus diesem Projekt veröffentlicht: „Aftermath (Live)“ und „To Resist Forgetting (Live)“.
Rolo Tomassi sind seit 19 Jahren eher Vorreiter als Mitläufer, und auf ihrem aktuellen Album Where Myth Becomes Memory haben sie mehr Selbstbewusstsein und Entschlossenheit denn je. Das Album bildete den Abschluss einer unbeabsichtigten Trilogie, die mit Grievances aus dem Jahr 2015 begann und mit Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It aus dem Jahr 2018 fortgesetzt wurde.
