LOVE IS NOISE - Albumankündigung & neue Single
LOVE IS NOISE sind frisch bei dem legendären Label Century Media Records unter Vertrag und haben Details zu ihrem Debütalbum „To live in a different way“ bekannt gegeben, das am 14. Februar 2025 erscheinen soll.
Mit Einflüssen von Portishead, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Oasis, Bowery Electric, Boards of Canada und Deftones hat die Band ein Album geschaffen, das dich emotional berührt.
Sänger Cam Humphrey sagt über das Album: “‘To live in a different way’ is the story of a kid from Bolton trying to understand the world he lives in. It's 10 tracks full of love, heartache and dream-soaked melody, I believe we’ve created something special.”
Zusätzlich zu den Neuigkeiten zum Album haben LOVE IS NOISE einen weiteren neuen Track veröffentlicht, „take.one.minute“. Du kannst die Band auch live in London bei ihrer Record Release Show „A Night In The Capital“ erleben, die am 22. Februar im The Lower Third stattfindet. Der Kartenvorverkauf beginnt am Freitag um 9 Uhr.

LOVE IS NOISE zeigt Einfühlungsvermögen, sowohl textlich als auch musikalisch. Das Century Media-Debüt der Band, „To live in a different way“, spannt einen Bogen von den rauen Riffs und der Lautstärke ihrer DIY-Ursprünge hin zu shoegazeähnlicher Melodiösität, einem Hauch von Brit-Pop und einem schlagenden (und blutenden) Herzen, das aus Cam Humphreys klagendem Gesang hervorbricht. Das Debütalbum „To live in a different way“ wurde von der Band zusammen mit dem Tontechniker Kel Pinchin produziert und von John Markson (Drug Church, Drain, The Story So Far) gemischt.
“We made a conscious decision to make the record feel like a live band, mistakes included!” sagt Cam. “In an era where perfection is heavily favoured, we wanted to do the complete opposite and dive headfirst into creating something our idols would’ve set out to create.”
Die Reise vonLove Is Noise begann 2021 als Zusammenarbeit zwischen Humphrey und dem Gitarristen Tom Mellon, der das Ätherische und das Intensive ausbalanciert. Zu den klanglichen Wegweisern gehören moderner Shoegaze sowie Bands wie Glassjaw und Deftones. Die 2022 erschienene EP Euphoria, Where Were You? (veröffentlicht auf der 333 WRECORDS CREW von FEVER 333-Frontmann Jason Aalon Butler) wies auf einen ganz eigenen, herzzerreißenden Sound hin. Eine Reihe von Singles führte dazu, dass die Band einen Vertrag mit Century Media abschloss und mit der Arbeit an ihrem Debütalbum begann. Einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf die neue Musik gab es mit der gefeierten Singles „Soft Glow“ und "Jawbreaker", die auf zahlreichen Streaming-Plattformen auftauchte.
